Every feature exists
because a hunter needed it.
Nothing ornamental. Nothing generic. Every screen in Bield was built to answer one question: what would a serious hunter actually use this for?
Under 60 seconds from stand to saved.
Log species, behavior, and the sighting itself. Bield captures the conditions silently in the background — GPS, weather, moon, pressure, season phase. You log the deer. We log everything else.
- GPS auto-detectWithin 500m of a saved property, Bield asks if you're at your observation location. YES auto-populates property and nearest stand — three taps saved.
- WeatherKit conditionsTemperature, wind speed, direction, gust, barometric pressure, humidity — all captured automatically at the second you tap LOG IT.
- Moon phase + illuminationCalculated locally from astronomical data. Works with zero signal. Accurate to the minute.
- Season phaseRut phases for deer, breeding phases for turkey — calculated from your state and the date. No lookup tables to memorize.
- Voice-to-text notesTap the mic, speak your observation. Your hands stay on the bow.
- Offline firstEvery log saves locally before it ever touches a server. Syncs when signal returns. You never lose a sit to a dead zone.
The metric every other app ignores.
Without knowing how many sits produced nothing, raw observation counts are misleading. Ten observations across ten sits is average. Ten observations across twelve sits is exceptional. Bield measures the ratio.
- Sit start + endLog when you climb in, log when you climb out. Duration is calculated for you.
- Stand auto-populatedGPS resolves which stand you're sitting. If you're between two, Bield asks.
- Obs per sitThe actual productivity metric. Automatically calculated from your sit log and your observations.
- Stand rankingSorted by obs-per-sit rate — not raw sighting counts. The stand you sat 40 times to get 12 observations ranks below the stand you sat 6 times for 5.
What your data says about your land.
The pattern engine reads your observations, your sits, and the conditions tied to each one — and surfaces correlations you can act on. Every pattern shows its confidence level so you know exactly how much data supports it.
Draw your property. Place your stands. See your history.
Satellite boundary drawing. Ten marker types. Entry and exit routes per stand. Observation pins colored by event type. Offline tiles cached at property setup — the map works in the dark hours before a hunt, not just on WiFi at home.
The only app that takes turkey as seriously as whitetail.

Weather data provided by Apple Weather. Attribution displayed in-app per Apple requirements.
Your SD card just became a pattern engine.
Upload photos from any camera brand. Bield reads the EXIF timestamp, pulls the historical WeatherKit conditions for that exact moment, and generates observation records automatically — so every photo in your archive contributes to the pattern engine.
- SD card importWorks with any trail camera brand. Drag, drop, done.
- EXIF timestamp readingExact date and time from the photo's metadata.
- Historical condition backfillWeather, pressure, moon, phase — for the exact moment the shutter fired.
- AI species identificationDeer, turkey, other. Buck, doe, fawn. Runs on your photos automatically.
- Individual buck profilesLink photos of the same animal across multiple sessions to build a year-by-year profile.
- Cellular sync — coming v1.5Spypoint, Moultrie, and Tactacam live sync in a future release.
