What broadhead is best for whitetail deer?

Fixed-blade broadheads are durable and forgiving on bone hits. Mechanical broadheads cut larger wound channels and fly more like field points but can fail on heavy bone or in low-energy bows. Both work well on whitetails. Stick with proven brands — quality matters more than mechanical-vs-fixed debate for clean kills.
Common reliable choices: G5 Montec, Slick Trick, and Magnus Stinger for fixed; Rage Hypodermic and Sevr for mechanical. Test 3-4 of any chosen broadhead on a target before season — a broadhead that flies 4 inches off your field-point group at 30 yards needs tuning, not assumption.
